An attempt to sell an officially licensed “Tina Turner” wig went down in flames recently because it looked terrible! Not to mention the fact that they were charging $1,000 for it!
The wig was actually created by Tina’s longtime wig- and hairstylist and made with human hair. But instead of resembling Tina’s teased-out ’80s ‘hair, a lot of folks are saying it just looked like generic curly hair.
One person compared it to Little Orphan Annie, and another said it resembled Olivia Newton-Johns’s hair at the end of the movie, “Grease”!
Needless to say, Tina’s estate yanked it offline within hours of it’s introduction!
