The winners have been announced for this year’s toys that will be honored by the National Toy Hall of Fame. Transformers, My Little Pony and the card game, ‘Phase 10’. Uh, can we back up…I have never heard of the game ‘Phase 10’!! Apparently it came out in the early 80s. Do you remember it? It’s not like UNO, which most people would easily recognize. What’s disappointing is that it beat out other nominated toys, more worthy of this recognition, like:
Choose Your Own Adventure gamebooks
‘Apples to Apples’ boardgame
Pokemon trading cards
Trampolines
EVEN THE HOBBYHORSE (the stick horse)!!
Remote control cars
