As some musicians age, they slow their routines and live off their fat bank accounts. But for Sting, he’s going full steam ahead. He announced his 3.0 tour earlier this year which will take him across the U.S. this fall. Closest he’ll be to Indy will be two shows in Chicago on October 28th and 29th.

Listen, I’m a fan of Sting, his solo work and with The Police. But this song, ‘I Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart) didn’t measure up in my opinion because of one reason: Sting’s voice. It’s pretty rough. Yea, he’s in his 70s and he’s been singing professionally since the mid 70s so his voice is showing some wear and tear. Other musicians like Jon Bon Jovi have run into similar issues recently. There’s only so much that can be done in post editing and with recording equipment. Take a listen and you be the judge…
