Ryan Gossling The Stuntman Becomes The Hero In “Fall Guy”. Just As Charming As The 80’s TV Show

In “Barbie,” Ryan Gossling’s job is Beach. In “The Fall Guy” it’s Stunt and he’s pretty great at his gig.

Gosling nicely follows up his Oscar-nominated Ken turn as an embattled Everyman who falls 12 stories, gets thrown through glass and pulls off an epic car jump, among other death-defying moments in the breezily delightful “Fall Guy.”.

Director David Leitch, former stunt double for a fella named Brad Pitt, revamps the 1980s Lee Majors TV show as an action-comedy ode to the stunt performers who never get their due, while Gosling and Emily Blunt dazzle as likable exes who reconnect under dire circumstances.

As a little Lee Majors fan back in the 1980s, the action-packed TV show “The Fall Guy” was my dad’s jam, so it was mine too! What’s not to love about a Hollywood stuntman working as a bounty hunter on the side and driving a cool truck! I’m happy to report that the new “Fall Guy” movie (in theaters now) has bigger stunts, more fun but with the same charm, and Ryan Gosling nicely follows up his “Barbie” role with one that, in its own way, is even more impressive..
