Allman Brothers Band Co-Founder, Dickey Betts, Has Died

Allman Brothers Band fans are remembering the great Dickey Betts. The band announced the co-founder passed away yesterday at the age of 80. Apparently Dickey had been dealing with cancer and obstructive pulmonary disease. The guitarist is best known for creating ‘Ramblin Man’, which as legend has it, he had planned on giving it to Johnny Cash. Not that Johnny wouldn’t have sounded great giving the song his own vibe, but it’s hard to imagine anyone other than Betts singing that classic hit. Thanks for the music Dickey. Rest in peace brother~
