We told you all about the physical assault on Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen and a woman trying to help him last week, and thought we’d give you a quick update.

Quick review: Rick was smoking outside a Florida hotel recently after a concert when he was rushed by a 19 year old and slammed to the ground. A woman, who went to assist Allen, was also assaulted.

Rick is recovering is a safe place, and thanks fans for their support. The 19 year old assailant was also arrested by police soon after.
