Happy songs. Oh, there’s a lot of science involved in a good “happy” song.
A “happy ” song has a unique combination of a major key, 7th chords, 137 BPM, strong beat, four beats in every bar, and a verse-chorus-verse-chorus structure that produces a happy beat. It should also have a short intro, repeated riffs, high volume, bright tone, and a mix of predictability and surprise.
There ya go…..clear as mud, right? Haha!
A doctor has recently put together a list of the Top 10 Happy Songs and they include: “I Got You” from James Brown, “Sun is Shining” by Bob Marley, and “Uptown Girl” from Billy Joel.
The #1 tune? Well, I mentioned it was from The Beach Boys……just CLICK HERE/STUDYFINDS.ORG to find out!
