Superman didn’t show up at Comic Con Saturday. Actual super man Dwayne Johnson did the trick, though.
The Rock made an epic entrance surrounded by smoke and lightning – and in full “Black Adam” costume, no less – at the Warner Bros. panel to promote his upcoming film (in theaters Oct. 21)
Johnson talked about how for years he’d bring movies to Comic-Con and hoped people would like them. “To be here today and be Black Adam throwing around lightning like candy, that’s a dream come true,” he told the crowd.
Johnson’s antihero character truly does have the chance to change the DC cinematic universe if the film’s latest trailer is any indication. That’s thanks in large part to “Black Adam” introducing a new team of heroes, the Justice Society of America.
The Rock showed off new footage from the movie, which centers on a slave with god-like powers who’s been entombed for 5,000 years and is then unleashed on a modern world. In my opinion, Dwayne, The Rock, Johnson was born to play this role. You be the judge. Here’s the official trailer Courtesy: YouTube
