A sequel to the 1980s sitcom Who’s the Boss is headed to Amazon’s Freevee streaming service. Yes, the Micelli’s have a new or rather old home.
The project, in development for a couple of years, has original stars Alyssa Milano and Tony Danza attached to reprise their roles. The new take will focus on Milano’s Samantha Micelli, a single mother who lives in the same house where she grew up on the original series. Her retired dad, Tony (Danza), lives with her. Judith Light and Danny Pintauro (who played Angela’s son Jonathan) aren’t slated to appear as of yet, but they are “supportive of the new series,” and producers hope to find a way to work them in.
Freevee (formerly IMDb TV) currently streams the first two seasons of the original series. I always liked “Who’s The Boss” because Tony Danza aka Tony Micelli was the coolest TV Dad on the planet.
