Tony Awards 2022 Biggest Moments: Billy Crystal Sings Yiddish With Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Hudson EGOTs

The 75th annual Tony Awards, honoring the best and brightest from Broadway’s 2021-2022 season, Razzled and Dazzled at Radio City Music Hall!  Many of the shows up for awards were supposed to open in 2020— until theaters unexpectedly closed for a year and a half.

Highlights: A Strange Loop ” was named best musical at the 75th Tony Awards on Sunday.

Billy Crystal,, made the most of his time onstage performing “A Little Joy” from his nominated musical “Mr. Saturday Night,” stole the night when he got Samuel L. Jackson and Lin Manuel- Miranda to sing Yiddish with him.

Jennifer Hudson has already won an Emmy, a Grammy and an Oscar, and now she’s won a Tony. She’s one of a number of co-producers of A Strange Loop, which she joined once it transferred to Broadway. She’s the 17th performer to achieve EGOT status.
