MTV. Music Television. Remember, the “good old days” when MTV played videos. Ah, those were the days!
And back during that time, if you recall……bands were trying to “outdo” each other….they were looking for “shock value”….something that would get people talking……something that would bring them attention….something that would sell records! So, needless to say, some of the videos had material that the network considered too “harsh” for their viewing audience…..whether it be violence or sex or whatever!
And with today’s “Throwback”, I thought we would spotlight some of the videos that were “banned” on MTV….CLICK HERE/ULTIMATECLASSICROCK.COM to see 19 rock videos that were banned back in the day and you can check out the FIRST EVER BANNED VIDEO ON MTV below…..Believe it or not, it was Queen’s “Body Language” from 1982. The video contains tons of sweat, tons of skin, and combined with the hot lyrics you’ve got a recipe for eroticism, however, I seriously doubt it would be banned today. Actually, I feel it’s pretty “tame” when it comes to some of the videos we see today. (VIDEO: YouTube/Queen Official)
