Whew! This was close!
Back in the day, EMI records were “fishing around” for songs for Tina Turner to record on the follow-up album to her highly successful “What’s Love Got To Do With It” album.
And David Coverdale and Whitesnake were, at the time, working on songs for their album and actually entertained the idea of having Tina do one of their songs. Luckily, that didn’t happen….the song they were considering became one of their biggest hits.
What song was it? Well, here’s some hints: 1. The song hit #2 on the charts in 1987 2. The video featured Tawny Kitaen. (I know, not really a hint) 3. The song is NOT “Here I Go Again”.
