Yes that’s Kurt Cobain, and no, that’s not the iconic guitar he played in Nirvana’s hit song, ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’. That’s the guitar he played during his famous MTV Unplugged set that would later sell for over $6,000,000! Now, the one that Kurt played on ‘Teen Spirit’ is being sold via Julien’s Auctions and (shown below) a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Kicking The Stigma initiative via The Indianapolis Colts. Bids on Cobain’s guitar will be accepted May 20th thru 22nd.

And here’s WISH TV talking about the guitar and it’s first bidder, Jim Irsay. He’s started the bidding at $2,000,000! I’m pretty sure Irsay will win the famous ax and add it to his musical collection. If Cobain’s other guitar went for six million, I gotta think this one will go for at least that much!
