Murphy’s Law struck over the weekend at Charlotte FC’s inaugural soccer match at the Bank Of America Stadium. As Michelle Brooks-Thompson began to sing our national anthem, she experienced a technical issue and she couldn’t be heard over the P.A. That’s when 74,000 fans joined in and proudly sang it. Maybe it’s because of the world events taking place now in Ukraine, but just seeing and hearing this made me well up with tears. It’s absolutely beautiful. God bless America~
The microphone went out for the National Anthem ahead of Charlotte FC’s home opener & this happened. Wow. Chills. This crowd is amazing.@wcnc | #ForTheCrown pic.twitter.com/KIDqBGJuZL
