“I hit an incredible half court shot, BLINDFOLDED, and all I got was this lousy hat!” THAT should have been the prize that a college student at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota won for sinking such a shot over the weekend. No money. No free tuition for a semester. Just a hat, and supposedly a gift card to the school’s bookstore?! Are you serious?! Colleges and high schools do these types of promotions all the time with much, much sexier prizes! And they do it by purchasing an insurance policy that pays for said prize if the contestant beats the odds of winning. Now we haven’t heard from the University why they offered up such a lame prize. Maybe they’ll make it right after all this national attention and award the student who sunk the unbelievable shot with a more appropriate prize~
Hey @SportsCenter – do you have the probability on making a halfcourt shot blindfolded?
