“All I’ve ever needed was a guitar, motorcycle, some girl to put her arms around my neck and a stereo”. That’s apparently the secret to happiness for John Mellencamp, recently opening up in an interview with People magazine. Well the guitar he’s always had…the motorcycle, the stereo…and he’s had some of the arms of some of the most beautiful women in the world around his neck (some probably wanting to choke him instead of hug him, out of frustration). Wait, no chili dog behind the Tasty Freeze on his list? No first cigarette in the morning? I’d imagine those things have their place on the Hoosier rocker’s ‘must haves’ list. I mean the guy is 70 and has been a life long smoker and clearly has no intentions of quitting now.

John’s 25th studio album, ‘Strictly A One-Eyed Jack’ will be released tomorrow, hence the reason John is doing a slue of interviews right now. He’s always rocked and lived to beat of his own drum and I’m expecting the same with these new songs coming out.
