U2’s Bono isn’t a fan of the name U2…or his voice for that matter. Uh, say what?! The iconic Irish band is nearing 50 YEARS using that name and churning out numerous hit songs. Bono recently opened up during an episode of the Hollywood Reporter’s podcast, ‘Awards Chatter’. He talks about changing the station when he’s heard one of their songs come on the radio and how Robert Palmer even had some critical advice for the band years ago. Excellent podcast and the episode below is well worth listening to, especially for U2 fans. And that includes me. I’ve always thought Bono’s voice has a unique quality. You can really hear it in the new animated movie ‘Sing 2’ where Bono plays one of the characters. Ironically, he sings the band’s hit song, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” in the movie, and it appears that there are days he feels that way about his own voice.
