Well, it’s that time of year. The National Toy Hall of Fame has announced 3 new inductees for this year. The toys that made the Class of 2021 are: American Girl Dolls, the board game Risk, and Sand…..yeah, that’s sand that you would find in a sand box or at the beach.

Now, what about “non-toys”? You know those items that we played with as kids that weren’t technically “toys”…..Or weren’t items that you would buy at Toys ‘R Us…….Here’s Stu’s Top 5 list of “non-toys” that belong in the Toy Hall of Fame…..
- The tube sock we transformed into a foul-mouthed Muppet. (And boy were you in trouble if Mom or Dad heard!)
2. The sofa cushions we stacked into a fort that nobody was allowed in unless they knew the password. Which was usually “Fart Face.”
3. The cardboard or paper dish we would use as a frisbee after lunch. Usually didn’t fly straight due to the leftover mac and cheese on the plate.
4. The wrapping paper tube that became a sword and uesd to whack our little brother. And you whacked him with it until the tube would fall apart!
5. Paper clips we linked to create exquisite necklaces and dangle earrings. Come on! Who didn’t do this?
