Well, it’s that time of year! I was encouraged by a listener to do a Top 5 list of my favorite witches…(And it’s funny, he and I actually agreed on #1!)
So, here we go….the Top 5 Witches from the big screen:
- Samantha Stevens: Of course, Elizabeth Montgomery from the TV sitcom “Bewitched”…the top nose-twitcher on the list! Cute, adorable, and far from wicked.
- Asa Vajda: Remember Barbara Steele in the movie “Black Sunday”? Ahhhh! Gave me nightmares!
- The Wicked Witch of the West: This character in “The Wizard of Oz” was brilliantly portrayed by Margaret Hamilton….if she didn’t “creep you out”, I’m sure her flying monkeys did!
- Nancy Downs: Who can forget Fairuza Balk’s performance in “The Craft”? The look….the attitude…..loved it!
- The Witches of Eastwick: Come on, Susan Sarandon, Cher, and Michelle Pfieffer together on the big screen….put a spell on me baby!
