You probably don’t recognize the name, Connie Hamzy, but you know the song, ‘We’re An American Band’ from Grand Funk Railroad.  Connie was close enough to that legendary band that she’s in the song! Sad to report that the Arkansas native passed away over the weekend at the age of 66. Connie was also tied to other bands like Cheap Trick, even showing up in their song, ‘Standing On The Edge’.
