Well, here’s some head – spinning news!
The Exorcist is back with a new horror trilogy starring Ellen Burstyn. Universal says it’s spending $400 million – plus to bring back the scary classic. (There’s no word on Linda Blair being part of the project as of yet). Who else is going to spit up that vile pea soup? Don’t you really need at least a cameo from Linda Blair? But then it’s all part of Hollywood’s remake fever.
Burstyn will reprise her role as Chris McNeil whose 12-year-old daughter Regan, played by Linda Blair, was possessed in 1973’s “The Exorcist”. The new movies will also star Leslie Odam Jr. of Hamilton fame. The first film is expected to spin into theaters in 2023 with the other two films possibly appearing first on Peacock.
