The 4th of July is going to be a little bit more special this year for the Statue of Liberty: Lady Liberty will soon have a little sister!
France will be sending the gift of an exact replica of the Statue of Liberty (only much smaller) to the United States and the statue will be erected across the water from the original the first weekend of July.
The new statue is 1/16th of the size of the original, just under 10 feet tall, and weighs about 992 pounds.
