A new song from Prince will be out next month, one that has been tucked away for nearly 11 years. ‘Born To Die’ was influenced by issues in 2010 that Black Americans were experiencing. It will be released on his album, ‘Welcome 2 America’ on July 30th. In a statement from Prince’s estate, they describe the upcoming album as: “powerful creative statement that documents Prince’s concerns, hopes and visions for a shifting society, presciently foreshadowing an era of political division, disinformation, and a renewed fight for racial justice.”
It’s incredible how you realize just how much you appreciate something when it’s no longer there. I truly believe that Prince was one of thee most talented entertainers OF ALL TIME. His music, his look, his brand…all of it. And this song has that cool vibe with his message and thoughts woven in. Can’t wait to hear what his estate releases next~
