
Talk about your eye catching photo op! The Marilyn Monroe statue that was on loan to Palm Springs back in 2012 for a couple of years has returned to the city! Marilyn now stands in front of the Palm Springs Art Museum, well, with her backside greeting guests as they leave.
As you can see in the video below, it’s that famous pose of the actress standing over the subway grate in the film Seven Year Itch. And believe it or not, but some people think it’s inappropriate! Okay, I’m not exactly surprised in this cancel culture we live in.
Louis Grachos, the director of the Palm Springs Art Museum, is one who spoke up at recent city council meeting to express that children seeing Marilyn’s giant undies would be offensive. Lighten up, Louis, kids today have seen WAY worse on social media and TV. And they’re UNDERWARE! It’s not like the statue was nude. Actually, THAT wouldn’t be half bad now would it
