John Hinkle has bowled a 300 game several times before, but none were as special as the one earlier this month. Hinkle bowls with only two finger holes, and decided to fill the thumb hole with a special container that holds some of his late father’s ashes. It’s was John’s father who introduced him to the game when he was a boy. As you’ll see in the story from WMBD, John talks about how special that game was, bringing him to tears.
People keep loved one’s ashes in various urns, but this is a first! I wonder what unusual places ashes have been kept so that they are always close to friends and family. As long as the container is kept secure, I guess the sky’s the limit~
