The Indianapolis community lost an incredible peace maker on this date one year ago. IMPD Officer Breann Leath was tragically killed in the line of duty on April 9th, 2020. She was described as having a servant’s heart, even helping others as a young girl. Many residents in her district have recalled her positive attitude and caring persona. A graveside service is being held today to remember this amazing officer, mother, daughter and friend. And the Maternal Child Health Unit at the Indiana State Women’s Prison will be dedicated in her honor today.
