Free Prom Wear For Indiana Teens At Special Event This Weekend

Prom season can bring on anxiety for some teens when it comes to scraping together the money to get a dress or suit for the big occasion. Well thanks to an organization called Project Prom, teens in Indiana can choose their prom dress, suit and accessories for free at a special event this weekend. It will be held outdoors at the Johnson County Public Library’s Franklin branch. They collect the prom gear throughout the year, and are always accepting items. Those have added up and more than 1,000 articles of prom clothing will be available for teens to check out this Saturday (April 10th) and Sunday (11th).

This is such a cool idea! Going to the prom is a rite of passage and lack of funds should never be a reason a young person skips it. Thankfully, there are A LOT of folks here in Central Indiana that have donated (and continue to donate) dresses and suits they no longer wear. Click on the link below to get more information.

Mark your calendars! Project Prom is in less than two weeks! Our Project Prom Pop-Up Event is April 10th and 11th…
