Nancy Wilson can certainly rock, as she’s proven as much over the years with Heart. But now with her new solo album, she’s showing a very sensitive side with a song written about her mother. ‘You And Me’ has the perfect calming melody as though you were walking along and watching Nancy and her late mother reunite. Wilson has commented before what an influence her mother had on her life, and now ‘You And Me’ tells that tale beautifully. This will be the perfect anthem for a lot of folks who celebrate their mother in memorials.
I’m a fan of Nancy’s voice and her work with her sister during their years rocking in Heart. But there’s something special about this song. It’s a different sound. I’ve always felt like music tells a story, and you can’t help but think of your own mother when you hear ‘You And Me’.
