Hollywood is mourning the loss of Emmy and Tony-winning actor, Hal Holbrook. His resume runs deep, appearing in hundreds of films and television shows. Ed Sullivan gave Holbrook his first national stage time in 1956. In 1967, he first appeared on CBS portraying a part that was meant for him: Mark Twain. He had portrayed the iconic writer in his solo act more than 2,200 times at venues throughout the country. Most will remember Holbrook from movies like ‘The Firm’, ‘Wall Street’, ‘Lincoln’ and many others. One of my favorite obscure 80’s films that he starred in was ‘The Star Chamber’. If you haven’t seen it before, look it up. It’s worth watching.
