Eddie would be so proud. That’s the first thing that came to mind as I watched the video below. It’s Wolfgang Van Halen’s first solo song, “Distance“, which is an incredible tribute to his father. Eddie passed away last month after a long, courageous battle with cancer. The song was released under the name Mammoth WVH which is also a tip of the hat to Eddie (that was the original name of Van Halen). Wolfgang is continuing where Eddie left off. Making music under the Van Halen name, not that Wolfgang needs that to prove his musical talents. But I’m sure it gives him a great deal of pride knowing even though part of Van Halen is still rocking~
