Well Wayne Newton had better watch his back, because David Lee Roth has big plans to unseat him in Las Vegas. In a recent interview on CBS Sunday Morning, the singer was asked what his future looks like in 5 years. In typical Dave fashion, he rambled on and on to get to the point that he wants to the ‘king of vegas’. Again I point out to Diamond Dave that Wayne Newton has kinda been holding that title (Mr. Las Vegas) for the last 60 years. I fully appreciate that Roth has been a part of one of the most iconic Rock-N-Roll bands in history and held his own. And even though the Indiana native did a brief stint in Sin City earlier this year, I don’t think he’s gonna take on this new title anytime soon. At 66, I’m sure he would entertain the idea of settling down and doing a permanent residency there. After all, casinos pay BIG money and Roth could ride that wave for a few years. Here’s the part of the interview where Roth talks of becoming the ‘King’…
