A Minnesota man has been crowned the winner of the 47th annual Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off in Northern California. With a top weight of 2,350, Travis Gienger earned $7 per pound, giving him a pretty sweet take home prize of $16,450! He nicknamed his prized pumpkin, ‘Tiger King’ (obviously a fan of the Netflix show). At the 3:50 mark in the video below, Travis talks about the win and what extreme measure he went to in building a special pallet to transport his ‘Tiger King’. Impressive gourd!
