If you’ve got someone on your Christmas shopping list who loves roller coasters, here’s the perfect gift! Starting this weekend, Kings Island is selling off pieces of their dismantled Vortex coaster for $198.70. The price tag is a throwback to when the ride first opened in 1987. For 33 years, fans loved the adrenline rush from riding this coaster, me included. My brother browbeat me into riding it with him and after just one ride, I was hooked! Stinks that it had to finally come down, but now you can own a piece of legendary coaster history! You can purchase it with park admission, and Kings Island peeps say if there are any leftover, they’ll be for sale online. I wouldn’t count on it though~
Kings Island fans and roller coaster enthusiasts, here’s your chance to own a slice of history. A limited number of track slices from the retired Vortex roller coaster will be available to purchase this weekend at the park. BLOG: https://t.co/YCKDWIaI5m #KingsIsland pic.twitter.com/RGvrDD9pD4
