Website Lets You Donate Local Pizza To Local Healthcare Workers

You can help small businesses and local healthcare workers at the same time, right from your couch, thanks to Slice Out Hunger. The website allows you to donate money which will be used to send pizza to care centers in hard hit communities.

The best part is, the website seeks out independent pizza joints so that, at the same time healthcare workers are getting much needed sustenance, a small business is getting a little boost.

Before the pizzas are sent out, someone calls the healthcare center to make sure they have a need for the food. So don’t worry, no pizza will be wasted.

If there’s a care center you think could use a meal, you can nominate them now. The organization is completely volunteer run, so all the money goes towards getting the food and taking it where it needs to go.

So far they’ve raised over $178k in about a week and a half.

The concept might sound familiar—it’s actually a partnership with Pizza to the Polls. During the midterm elections, the organization took donations online to send pizza to polling places with super long lines to encourage people to stay and vote.
