Doris Day passed away early this morning at the age of 97. The actress requested no funeral service, memorial or grave marker according to CBS 4.
Day never won an Oscar, but she was given a Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2004 by George W. Bush.
Animal rights was the big focus of her later years opening the Doris Day Animal Foundation in California.
