Hello there…..well, with the movie “It” hitting theaters this weekend…Today’s edition of “BeLIEve It or Not” is all about Pennywise, the clown.

1. Alice Cooper was supposed to play Pennywise, the clown, in the original “It” movie…even before Tim Curry landed the role.

2. Pennywise was inspired by real-life killer clown, John Wayne Gacy, also known as “Pogo the clown”.

3. Pennywise comes out and terrorizes Derry every 27 years. The last “It” movie came out in 1990.
