Saturday night our Pacers beat the Bulls, 111-94, but the victory didn’t come without one of our key players being ejected from the game! Paul George kicked the basketball into the stands, striking a fan in the face. A friend of mine commented, “Oh, great, another Ron Artest!”. WHAT?!…not even CLOSE! For those of you who had forgotten, Artest brought great shame to Indiana when he chased a fan down INTO the stands and got into a fight, back in 2004. Artest was a hot head and his act back in 2004 was INTENTIONAL and ASSAULT! Paul George on the other hand kicked the ball this past Saturday out of frustration, and he claims he was actually aiming at the mat against the goal. It did however strike a woman in the face, sitting about four rows up in the crowd. AND, Paul immediately went to apologize and check on her. He was given a technical foul, which he absolutely should have received, and ejected from the game.

Paul is a stand up guy, so it’s not surprising he tracked the injured woman down and sent her flowers. A friend of the woman posted this photo on Facebook of the note and flowers…
