There’s real truth to the expression that a dog is man’s best friend. On this National Puppy Day, I looked back at some photos of a pup my wife and I adopted from the Human Society of Indianapolis. We named him Oscar and he is without a doubt the friendliest dog I’ve ever known! There’s something about the curiosity of puppies that makes them lovable. It’s an innocence. Of course the flip side is how puppies can be very, very destructive! Oscar has eaten his share of socks and mulch. I feel like for his first year on this planet, we worked tirelessly to keep him alive by making sure he didn’t swallow thing and choke or have it get impacted! Through it all, he has become a loving member of The Browning family. If you’re thinking about adding a pooch to your family, I highly recommend visiting an area Humane Society and ADOPTING a dog, instead of purchasing one. WJJK is also very proud to be a partner with the Indy Mega Adoption Event each year. Area rescue groups and animal shelters bring together hundreds of animals looking for their forever home. We’ll keep you posted on their next event.
