Last week Bruce Springsteen performed a concert in Los Angeles. Towards the front he spotted a sign that read, “Bruce, I will be late to school tomorrow. Please sign my note”. It was a 9 year old fan named Xabi Glovsky. Bruce’s show was three-and-a-half hours, and it was a school night. Bruce noticed the sign, and had security invite them backstage after the show. Xabi’s dad says, quote, “Although there were many [other] musicians and celebrities at the concert, we were the FIRST people to see him after the show. Bruce said ‘There’s the big guy’ to my son.” He grabbed a pen and paper, and wrote a note to the kid’s teacher. It said, quote, “Dear Ms. Jackson, Xabi has been out very late rocking and rolling.
