Kraft has announced a voluntary recall of some of their American Cheese Slices, citing 10 complaints from consumers that a thin strip of clear plastic packaging film could possibly stick to the cheese slice, even when the wrapper is removed. Three reports of people choking were also noted.
The recall only deals with their 3-lb. and 4-lb. sizes of Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared cheese product, stamped with a “Best When Used By” date of 29 DEC 15 through 04 JAN 16, followed by the Manufacturing Code S54 or S55.
