I’ve seen video of ducks crossing a city street or county road, but this mother duck and her babies attempt the unimaginable by crossing a very busy highway! Most motorists have a tender heart when it comes to animals potentially endangering themselves on the roads, and will stop or swerve so as to not hit them. But the Minnesota State Patrol said motorists should NOT stop for ducks crossing on the freeway. This could easily cause a multi car pile up, with the loss of human life! This is a tough one, because I’m an animal lover, and I know my instinct would be to swerve or try and stop. But with a semi right behind you, traveling at 55, 65 or 75+ MPH, stopping for ducks is not an option. What would you do?
