This summer we’ve heard of several stories of tourists being bitten by sharks. North Carolina beach towns are on alert after several shark attacks or sightings have occurred recently. People in general are terrified of sharks. Think of the movie JAWS. Not many see these deadly fish as “cuddly” or “cute”. So when a 7 foot great white washed ashore on Cape Cod, beach goers were perplexed: do we let it die (potentially preventing another attack), or do we help it back into the water? It’s a living creature and as you’ll see in this video below, it’s scared. It’s suffocating on the beach and knows that it’s time is limited if it doesn’t get back into the water. I applaud these scientists for putting themselves in harms way to do the right thing.
