Rule #1 ANYTIME you have a wireless microphone attached to you: TREAT IT LIKE IT IS ON! A councilman from Georgetown, Texas excused himself to take a leak during a recent meeting. He didn’t get much privacy because he forgot to turn off his microphone! Watch as the other council members try and hold it together as they hear their colleague over the speakers! This was embarrassing, but could have REALLY turned out much, much worse! What if the councilman started talking to himself, or took a phone call, and said some really inappropriate things?!

I can recall a time at a church I attended, that the minister was having trouble with his microphone. He was in the hallway, and hadn’t entered the sanctuary yet. But what he failed to realize was that the mic WAS working, and that we could hear him muttering about the “damn thing” not working! Luckily he didn’t lose his cool too much, and it gave the congregation a pretty good laugh. How many times have we seen a politician do this on the national stage? They forget that the microphone is attached to them, and then they start having a private conversation. What’s interesting is that’s when we really see a politicians true colors~
