Yesterday was, “National Clean Off Your Desk Day”. I’m guessing it was created or sponsored by Office Depot or Lysol. Got me to thinking about the guy I share a cubicle with…Steve Stuart, our Mid Day host. Below are photos of our desks. See the drastic difference for yourself…
I’ve occupied this desk (first picture below) since I arrived almost 5 years ago. It’s generally peppered with Post-It notes, half of which I cannot read because my handwriting stinks. My prized M&M clock. You’ll notice I’m in training to be a featured guest on A&E’s “Hoarders”, with my ever growing stack of old music logs on the upper left side of my desk. The rotting, once fresh fruit, tangerine has seen better days. I had ever intention of eating that…about a month ago. I’m a wussie when it comes to drinking coffee, so I always have some Coffeemate (usually Hazelnut flavor) to start each morning at 4:30.

Below, we see Steve Stuart’s desk, which many confuse for the WJJK Gift Shop! You’ll notice Stu’s shrine to KISS, with the figurines and mouse pad. Is that a Lava Lamp?! Guitar pics line his monitor. See if you can count the number of skulls on Stu’s desk. He’s constantly “borrowing” my stapler and tape, which he usually returns…EMPTY! His apple scented hand sanitizer that he usually uses after shaking my hand in the morning. Stu has a thing for calendars, I see at least 4 in this photo! I don’t even wanna guess what’s in that pickle jar, but at night, I hear it GLOWS!

I’ll give him this much, Stu’s desk is the center of attention when we have tour groups stop by! So as you’re celebrating National Clean Off Your Desk Day (week), change it up a bit this year like my pal Steve Stuart’s desk!
