Back in December, WTHR ran a story about the Children Today Child Care Center in Shelbyville in December. There had been 16 critical violations at the center in the past 18 months. Another inspection was done last week and 32 violations were cited.
The state says the Children Today Child Care Center poses a serious health and safety risk to children. It is currently operating on a probationary license.
Some of the critical violations include paint chipping and dirty walls. Also lack of child abuse/neglect training and bleach water that is accessible to kids.
President Jeff Owens told WTHR, “We don’t blame anybody but ourselves. We’re going to try to do the best job that we can.”
