WWE Hall Of Fame Interviewer ‘Mean Gene’ Okerlund Dead At 76

It’s a sad day for wrestling fans. WWE Hall of Famer and interviewer Gene Oklerlund has passed away at the age of 76.

Gene was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006 by none other than Hulk Hogan. According to NBC News, he was given the nickname “Mean Gene” by wrestler Jesse “The Body” Ventura. He began focusing on wrestling in 1970 and joined the WWE in 1984.
