Top 20 Wedding Songs That Should Be Banned! I Don’t Agree With #9

A recent poll asked Americans which wedding songs should be banned FOREVER! Here\’s the Top 20, and I gotta say as a former mobile DJ, some of these songs are CLASSICS! See if you agree or disagree.

1.  \”The Chicken Dance\”  (yep, gotta go!)

2.  \”The Cha-Cha Slide\”  (why? this song has built in instructions!)

3.  \”Macarena\”  (too repetitive, drove many to insanity)

4.  \”The Cupid Shuffle\”  (never heard of it)

5.  \”YMCA\”   (this will forever be a classic!)

6.  \”Electric Boogie (Electric Slide)\”   (couple beers and anyone could do this dance!)

7.  \”Hokey Pokey\”  (ONLY acceptable for a 6 year old\’s skating party)

8.  \”Wobble\”  (totally agree, get it OUTTA HERE!)

9.  (Tie) \”Happy\” by Pharrell   (not really a wedding reception song)

(Tie) \”Shout\” by the Isley Brothers  (ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!! It\’s a CLASSIC!)

11.  \”Love Shack\”, The B-52s   (Yea, time for this one to go)

12.  \”We Are Family\”, Sister Sledge   (hey, it brings the whole family together!)

13.  (Tie) \”Blurred Lines\”, Robin Thicke   (doesn\’t belong on a fun party song list)

(Tie) \”Celebration\”, Kool & the Gang  (Again, a CLASSIC!!)

(Tie) \”Cotton Eye Joe\”, Rednex  (only if it\’s a hoedown)

(Tie) \”Dancing Queen\”,  (great song, but time to retire it)

(Tie) \”Don\’t Stop Believin\’\”,  (UNBELIEVABLE song, but not a party song)

(Tie) \”Single Ladies\”, Beyoncé  (A must have for the bride tossing her bouquet)

(Tie) \”Sweet Caroline\”, Neil Diamond  (Great sing a long song)

(Tie) \”Turn Down for What\”, DJ Snake and Lil Jon  (I\’m too old for this one)

(Tie) \”Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)\”, Silentó  (again, I\’m too old)

22.  (Tie) \”Hot in Herre\”, Nelly . . . 2.7%  (I refuse to say this song because of how they butcher the word \’HERE\’)

(Tie) \”Mony Mony\”, Billy Idol  (definite party song for any wedding reception)
