Stu’s Top 5 Rock&Roll Frontmen! (Do You Agree?)

It’s been awhile……another one of my “almost famous” Top 5 lists.

Why have I waited so long?  Because, I was still “licking my wounds” after I posted the Top 5 Guitarists of all time….(Lord have mercy…y’all were brutal…..but then again, I shouldn’t have left Jimmy Page off the list!  Honorable mention just didn’t cut it for y’all)

So, let’s see if Jimmy’s frontman from Led Zeppelin made the list!  The Top 5 Rock&Roll Frontmen of all time!  Needless to say, there are many types and styles of lead singers as there are styles and formats of music.  This is the guy who is usually the main focus during live shows garnering most of the audience’s attention, and usually the band’s spokesman when it comes to interviews.  The lead vocalist often defines the group’s image and personality to the general public.  They have to have it all:  the voice, the look, the stage presence, the charisma……

Here’s my Top 5 Rock&Roll Frontmen of all time:

  1.  David Lee Roth/Van Halen

David Lee Roth

2.  Mick Jagger/The Rolling Stones

Mick Jagger

3.  Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath

OzzyOsbourne-TheEssential

4.  Steven Tyler/Aerosmith

Aerosmith

5.  Robert Plant/Led Zeppelin

Robert Plant

I know, pretty tough….what do you think?  Do you agree? Disagree?  Give me your feedback, I LOVE to hear it and I just love the abuse!  Haha!

Here’s the artists who just missed the list….yes, my honorable mentions:  Freddie Mercury/Queen, Roger Daltry/The Who, Axl Rose/Guns ‘n Roses, Paul Stanley/KISS, Brett Michaels/Poison, Vince Neil/Motley Crue, and Jon Bon Jovi/Bon Jovi.
